There would be times when explorer.exe wouldn't boot up with the system, and there was no modding, etc. This caused it to be slow (and it shouldn't be-it was a brand new model with 3GB of RAM and a decent Intel Core 2 Duo CPU) and even buggy. It was running Windows Vista Home Premium, and it had a LOT of bloatware. To give you guys an example, a friend of mine purchased a Toshiba laptop back in 2007. The amount of bloatware that some of these OEMs stick on their machines is ridiculous, and it causes people to have issues with their systems and blame Microsoft for it. I've had a few experiences with OEM PCs and bloatware in a sense that, these PCs with copies of Windows pre-installed are much slower and buggier than systems with clean, non-OEM installs of Windows. Something that me and a few others are particularly interested in is bloatware and how it affects the end-user's experience with Windows.
